Detailed profiles of schools for Education from the EdRef college search portal.

Education programs give students the skills and knowledge they need to effectively teach others. Education degrees are designed for students interested in teaching at the elementary level, the secondary level, and all-levels education. Students may wish to become teachers in art, music, or physical education, so they may earn a bachelor’s degree in one of these subjects with a minor in secondary or all-levels teaching. Students who earn these degrees can enter a career in schools or community agencies that is extremely rewarding.

Examples of education programs include bilingual education, curriculum and instruction, education evaluation, educational administration, educational materials, educational psychology, ESL, general education, international education, philosophy of education, student services, teacher aide, and vocational teaching. Students may earn bachelor’s degrees in subjects like community education, exceptional education, or educational studies. They may earn master’s degrees in administrative leadership, cultural foundations, or curriculum and instruction. Doctoral programs are also available in adult and continuing education, educational administration, or media technology.
