Detailed profiles of schools for Military Technologies from the EdRef college search portal.
Military Technologies programs offer students the chance to prepare for a career in the armed forces. Admittance usually requires years of High School Junior ROTC, service as a veteran, or completion of basic training with the National Guard or Reserves. During lower level training, students do not have a military obligation and take electives in areas like leadership, national security, military leadership, and team development.
In the advanced courses, students take junior-level and senior-level military science electives in a particular sequence and are required to take an advanced leadership training, usually at a military base over the course of a month. There are many electives that are required to complete the advanced phase of training, including courses in advanced military leadership, small unit tactical leadership, ethics in the military, and advanced management techniques.
