American Sentinel University Description

Founded in 1988, the American Sentinel University (ASU) is a privately-owned, independent, distance-learning college that offers bachelor's and master's degrees and professional certifications in the fields of information technology and business. ASU' innovative online programs offer students the flexibility to work on their own timetable, at their own pace, from anywhere. By using e-learning, an individual can get a degree while working and tending to life's other important activities. ASU also grants credit for work and life experience, as well as allowing an individual to transfer course credit from other accredited institutions. This can allow an individual to complete their program of study quickly, allowing them to embark on a new career direction more quickly.

Financial aid options open to ASU students include: ASU tuition assistance, tuition assistance, Veterans Administration (VA) benefits, employer reimbursement programs, Sallie Mae, Wells Fargo financing, and DANTES. ASU offers the following student services: student service advisors, "ASU NEWS FOR YOU" weekly e-mails, an ACM chapter, a student/alumni council, an outstanding graduates program, Delta Epsilon Tau (DET) honor society, online graduation, a career center, and a school store. ASU also offers an online form for individuals to request, at no obligation, more information about their innovative programs. Click on the "Quick Info" link to access the form and ask the school for more information.

ASU is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council. ASU is also licensed by the Alabama Department of Post Secondary Education.
