Established in 1931, Berkeley College is a college of over 5,000 students that specializes in business. It has six location in the New York - New Jersey metropolitan area (including location in northeast New Jersey, and in and around New York City). Berkeley offers certificate, associate, and bachelor degree programs in a broad range of business, design, and information technology disciplines. Berkeley provides maximum flexibility to students so that studies meet student needs and schedules. Programs can be either full or part-time. With Berkeley's innovative flexible year-round quarter system, a student can earn an associate’s degree in just 18 months or a bachelor’s degree in as little as 3 years. Certificate programs are a year or less in duration.
Berkeley also offers online distance learning programs that provide the same high-quality education over the Internet, either full or part-time. Online associate's and bachelor's degrees can be earned anytime, anywhere. In addition, each degree program includes an internship requirement that provides students with the valuable "real world" business experience that employers desire. Each year more than 90% of Berkeley College graduates are employed in jobs that are related to their fields of study. Berkeley also has study abroad offerings and overseas partnerships that provide exciting opportunities for students to experience an international program of study.
Berkeley College has a Program Participation Agreement with the US Department of Education allowing eligible students to receive federal aid such as Pell Grants. Berkeley awards over $12 million a year in Berkeley College grants and scholarships for qualified students. Aid options open to students of Berkeley College include: achievement awards, grants, loans, scholarships, state aid, Veteran's Administration (VA) benefits, and work/study programs. Berkeley also offers a creative tuition freeze program for students who maintain continuous full-time enrollment. Berkeley College is regionally accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The New York City and White Plains campuses are authorized by the New York State Board of Regents to confer the degrees of Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.), Associate in Science (A.S.), and Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.); and their programs are registered by the New York State Education Department. The New Jersey campuses are licensed as a college and authorized by the New Jersey Commission on Higher Education to confer the degrees of Bachelor of Science (B.S.), Associate in Science (A.S.), and Associate in Applied Science(A.A.S.). The Paralegal Studies program at all campuses is approved by the American Bar Association (ABA).
