Champlain College Description

Champlain College is a college of over 2,500 students located in the historic and beautiful "Hill Section" of downtown Burlington, Vermont, a few blocks away from Lake Champlain, and a short drive away from many Vermont ski resorts. Champlain College offers certificate programs, and bachelor's and master's degree programs in a very broad range of disciplines. Champlain is focused on professional preparation that is coupled with a coordinated liberal arts core with an emphasis on technology. Champlain College ranked 18th on U.S. News and World Reports list of "Best Comprehensive Colleges in the North".

Champlain College offers a very broad range of individual courses, certificate programs, and bachelor's degree programs online. These programs are perfect for people with busy schedules because class work can be completed at any time, day or night. Champlain's virtual classrooms are asynchronous, so students choose when they are ready to attend a class. Champlain also limits enrollment in online classes to 15 - 20 students, ensuring a manageable level of interaction between the instructor and classmates. Champlain is also now offering four accelerated online programs with classes that can be completed in just 7 weeks. These programs are designed for non-traditional students who have significant life or work experience beyond high school.

Champlain College has a Program Participation Agreement with the US Department of Education, allowing eligible students to receive federal aid. Additional aid options open to students of Champlain include: grants, loans, scholarships, state aid, veterans programs, and work/study programs. Champlain College offers the following student services: academic advising, alumni services, bookstore, career planning services, a help desk, library services, and tutoring services.
