Founded in 1983, the Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago is a school of over 1,000 students located in Chicago, Illinois. Since 2000, the Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago has been affiliated with Le Cordon Bleu of Paris, the world's best known culinary education program. The Institute offers accelerated, concentrated programs that allow students to complete the specialized associate degree in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts or the Le Cordon Bleu Pâtisserie and Baking program in as little as twelve months.
The Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago features 14 classrooms, 13 air-conditioned kitchens, industry current technology, multiple walk-in refrigerators and freezers, dry storage, cleaning supply areas, a learning resource center, student lounge, tutoring center, and café. Students receive real-world experience in the student-run cafe, as well as externships.
For working adults, the Institute offers morning, mid-morning, and afternoon course schedules, allowing students to fit their education into other busy work and life responsibilities.
