Cornerstone University - Grand Rapids Description

Founded in 1941, Cornerstone University (CU)is an evangelical Christian institution of over 2,400 students located in Grand Rapids Michigan. CU is a Christian institution of higher learning, whose mission is to develop students in two primary ways: by building and strengthening a “Christian world view,” a biblically sound philosophy of life; and by developing strong “Leadership Skills,” the ability to lead and thus to allow their faith to make a greater impact on the world for Christ.

Cornerstone University has three distinct divisions: the university’s undergraduate and graduate programs, the Theological Seminary’s graduate programs, and the Christ-centered broadcasting ministry Cornerstone University Radio. The University has programs for traditional undergraduate students, an adult and continuing education program which offers courses across the state of Michigan, and a growing number of graduate programs including advanced theological training at the Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. CU offers 75 academic program choices.

Cornerstone University’s Professional and Graduate Studies division offers accelerated programs for working adults that grant Associate’s, Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Programs are offered at convenient times and locations to allow individuals with substantial work and life commitments to be able to obtain an education.

Cornerstone University has a Program Participation Agreement with the US Department of Education for eligible students to receive Pell Grants and other federal aid (e.g., Direct Loans). Additional aid options open to qualifying students of CU include grants, loans, scholarships, state aid, work/study programs, and Veterans Administration (VA) benefits.
