DeVry University Description

DeVry University has over 70 campus and center locations in 21 states that serve over 30,000 students. They offer undergraduate, graduate certificate, and graduate degree programs in business and technology in a broad range of disciplines. DeVry offers 16 undergraduate programs, six graduate programs, and an additional 13 graduate certificate programs. Devry features small class sizes, faculty with real world experience, and a focus on providing the skills and education that employers want. DeVry offers a great deal of flexibility to students. Students have the ability to earn a degree part-time, full-time, nights, days, weekends, on-site, or online. This kind of flexibility makes it easy for an individual with substantial work and life responsibilities to obtain the education they need to get started on a new career or further an existing career. Some bachelor degree programs can be completed in as little as three years or less. DeVry offers the education that allows students to get ahead. Based on a 10-year study ending in 2004, 91 percent of DeVry graduates who actively pursued employment or who were already employed when they graduated, held positions in their chosen fields within 6 months of graduation.

DeVry University has a Program Participation Agreement with the US Department of Education for eligible students to receive Pell Grants and other federal aid (e.g., Direct Loans). Additional aid options open to qualifying students of DeVry include employer tuition reimbursement programs, grants, loans, scholarships, work/study programs, and Veterans Administration (VA) benefits. DeVry also offers military pricing for active-duty, National Guard and Reserve U.S. military personnel serving in any of the five branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, and their spouses. DeVry University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association (NCA) of Colleges and Schools. The baccalaureate Computer Engineering Technology (CET) programs at the Columbus, Fremont, Irving, Kansas City and Phoenix campuses, and the baccalaureate Electronics Engineering Technology (EET) programs at the Addison, Alpharetta, Chicago, Columbus, Decatur, Fremont, Irving, Kansas City, Long Beach, Long Island City, North Brunswick, Phoenix, Pomona, Tinley Park and West Hills campuses, as well as the associate-level EET program in North Brunswick, are accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (TAC of ABET). The Health Information Technology (HIT) associate degree program at DeVry's Alpharetta and Decatur, Georgia; and Irving, Texas, campuses are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM).
