Founded in 1982, Florida Technical College (FTC) is a school of over 1,000 students across four campuses in Florida in Auburndale, Deland, Jacksonville, and Orlando. The mission of FTC is to provide education and training that enables graduates to obtain entry-level employment.
Florida Technical College offers diploma and associate degree programs in ten different areas of study. These programs of study are in some of this decade's fastest growing occupations, helping students to obtain the kind of education necessary for a successful career.
To better accommodate students, day and evening classes are available. For added convenience, the computer labs have both scheduled and open time periods. This kind of convenience makes it easier for individuals with substantial work and life commitments to obtain the education necessary to start a new career or to further an existing career.
Florida Technical College has a Program Participation Agreement with the US Department of Education for eligible students to receive Pell Grants and other federal aid (e.g., Direct Loans). Additional aid options open to qualifying students of FTC include employer reimbursement programs, grants, loans, and work/study programs. Student Finance Officers are available to help students with the financial aid process.
Florida Technical College offers comprehensive career services for students and graduates, helping them to obtain jobs. In addition, FTC also offers an online form for individuals to request, at no obligation, more information about their innovative programs. Click on the "Quick Info" link to access the form and ask the school for more information.
Florida Technical College is a junior college accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS).
