Founded in 1914, Johnson and Wales University is a multi-campus school with campuses in North Carolina, Colorado, Virginia, and Florida that serve over 16,000 students. The mission of Johnson and Wales University is to empower its diverse student body to succeed in today's dynamic world by integrating general education, professional skills, and career-focused education.
Johnson and Wales University offers one of the most respected culinary career education programs in the world through its Johnson and Wales College of Culinary Arts. The Johnson and Wales College of Culinary Arts offers two associate degree programs in baking and pastry arts, and culinary arts. Also offered are six bachelor degree programs in baking and pastry arts, culinary arts, culinary nutrition, food marketing, food service entrepreneurship, and food service management. The associate degree programs can be completed in as little as 19 months. The bachelor degree programs can be completed in as little as 19 months beyond the associate degree.
The Johnson and Wales College of Culinary Arts also offers "Chef’s Choice" programs where professional chef-instructors from the College offer interactive and recreational courses for individuals who are interested in expanding their culinary skills.
Johnson and Wales University offers the following student services: alumni services, academic support services, athletic programs, career services, clubs and organizations, computer services, dining facilities, English language institute services, health services, residence life services, and a university bookstore. Johnson and Wales University has a Program Participation Agreement with the US Department of Education for eligible students to receive Pell Grants and other federal aid (e.g., Direct Loans).
