Kendall College Description

Founded in 1934, Kendall College is a college of approximately 600 students located in Chicago, Illinois. Kendall College is one of the top culinary schools in the United States. It also has a rapidly expanding and well regarded international hospitality management program.

Kendall College offers certificate, associate, and bachelor degree programs in culinary arts, early childhood education, and hotel management. In addition, Kendall College has partnered with the Les Roches Hospitality Management School of Switzerland to bring Les Roches’ industry-leading International Hospitality Management program to Kendall. Internships are an integral part of every Kendall program, and students graduate with both education and experience in their chosen fields.

Kendall College has new facilities that have tripled Kendall’s teaching and training space and doubled the number of kitchens, with a total of 16 state-of-the-art demonstration and participation kitchens. In addition to the top-notch professional kitchens, the eight-floor, 166,000 square foot facility features wireless technology throughout, videoconferencing and distance-learning centers, interactive research facilities, a large-scale broadcast and demonstration auditorium, organic gardens, and a waterfront promenade. Kendall has the facilities and programs to get students started on new and exciting career paths.

Kendall College has a Program Participation Agreement with the US Department of Education for eligible students to receive Pell Grants and other federal aid (e.g., Direct Loans). Additional aid options open to qualifying students of Kendall include grants, loans, scholarships, state aid, and work/study programs.

Kendall College offers the following student services: alumni services, career services, counseling services, residence halls, student activities, and tutoring. In addition, Kendall also offers an online form for individuals to request, at no obligation, more information about their innovative programs. Kendall College is accredited by the Culinary Federation of America. The Early Childhood Teacher Education Program is recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education and is an approved program entitling graduates to teach in Illinois Public Schools.
