Founded in 1941, National American University (NAU) is a private, multi-campus institution of higher learning with 12 campuses that serve over 4,000 students. National American University is committed to building a learning partnership with students locally, nationally and worldwide. The university provides quality career and professional undergraduate and graduate programs and continuing education to students of diverse backgrounds, interests and abilities.

National American University programs are structured to accommodate student career interests and objectives, and the needs of employers through traditional, accelerated and distance delivery methodologies. NAU offers degree programs in accounting, allied health, general education studies, athletic training, business administration, health care, information technology, legal studies, nursing, organizational leadership, pre-engineering, and veterinary technology.

National American University also provides the convenience of offering many of its degree programs online through National American University Online. These programs are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from anywhere. Students can attend college at a time and place that suits them personally. This flexibility makes it easy for individuals with substantial work and life commitments to obtain the education they need to start a new career or further an existing career.

National American University has a Program Participation Agreement with the US Department of Education for eligible students to receive Pell Grants and other federal aid (e.g., Direct Loans). Additional aid options open to qualifying students of NAU include grants, loans, scholarships, state aid, work/study programs, and Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits.
