Founded in 1940, the New England Institute of Technology (NEIT) is a school of over 2,500 students located in Warwick, Rhode Island. Warwick is approximately 25 minutes south of Providence. The mission of New England Institute of Technology is to provide specialized associate’s and bachelor’s degree programs which prepare students for careers in technology.
The New England Institute of Technology offers associate and bachelor of science degree programs in over 20 different, high-demand, technology-related fields of study. Each program has been designed with input from both educators and industry experts. The focus of NEIT programs is to give each student a solid balance of analytical skills with hands-on training. Most associate degree programs can be completed in as little as 18 months, and bachelor degree programs in as little as 3 years.
The New England Institute of Technology also offers professional development seminars for high school, middle and junior high school teachers. Over 1,000 teachers from over 200 schools have taken advantage of these seminars.
The New England Institute of Technology has a Program Participation Agreement with the US Department of Education for eligible students to receive Pell Grants and other federal aid (e.g., Direct Loans). Additional aid options open to qualifying students of NEIT include grants, loans, scholarships, state aid, and work/study programs.
