Ellis College is a division of the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT). It was founded to bring working adults a convenient, and credible way to further their education.

NYIT Ellis College offers online certificate, associate, bachelor, and master degree programs in business and interdisciplinary studies. Ellis College offers 13 online degree programs, and six online certificate programs. The online programs were developed in conjunction with experts in cognitive psychology, learning science and technology to help guarantee that the web-based learning environment gives students the flexibility they need while preserving the benefits of attending a traditional on-campus degree program.

With Ellis College's online degree programs, students set their own pace. They study online, anytime, anywhere. This flexibility makes it easy for individuals with substantial work and life commitments to obtain the education they need to start a new career or further an existing career.

The New York Institute of Technology has a Program Participation Agreement with the US Department of Education for eligible students to receive Pell Grants and other federal aid (e.g., Direct Loans). Additional aid options open to qualifying students of NYIT Ellis College include grants, employer reimbursement programs, loans, military tuition assistance, scholarships, work/study programs, and Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits. Ellis College of New York Institute of Technology also offers a 20% discount from the standard tuition rates to U.S. active duty military, members of the Selected Reserve and their spouses.
