The Art Institutes (AI) are a series of 31 Institute locations in major metropolitan areas across the country that service over 35,000 students. AI is an educator of students in the creative and applied arts, including design, media, fashion, and culinary arts. The curriculum at the Art Institutes is carefully developed by industry leaders and prominent employers so that AI focuses on the skills that are needed in the workplace. An Arts Institutes education is relevant, practical, and hands-on.
The Art Institutes offer certificate, diploma, associate, and bachelor degree programs in various creative and applied arts disciplines. In total, AI offers 40 programs of study. The Art Institutes offer three convenient learning options, including classroom, online, and a blended classroom/online learning option. 11 of AI's programs are offered entirely online. With these options, an individual with even the most demanding work and life commitments can find the time to obtain an education.
The Arts Institutes provide the kind of education that leads to results in the job marketplace. Of all 2003 Art Institutes graduates available for employment, 88.9% were working in a field related to their program of study within six months of graduation. AI graduates find employment with companies such as Sony Corporation, Adidas, Verizon, Ford Motor Company, the Home Depot/EXPO Design Center, Lockheed Martin, Nordstrom Inc., Walt Disney Company, Marriott International, Microsoft, Fox Entertainment Group, and Sodexho.
The Art Institutes has a Program Participation Agreement with the US Department of Education for eligible students to receive Pell Grants and other federal aid (e.g., Direct Loans). Additional aid options open to qualifying students of AI include employer reimbursement programs, grants, loans, scholarships, state aid, and work/study programs
The Art Institutes offer the following student services: alumni services, career services, community referrals, counseling services, student activities, and student housing. In addition, AI also offers an online form for individuals to request, at no obligation, more information about their creative and applied arts programs.
