Touro University Description

Touro University International (TUI) is a branch campus of Touro College, New York. Touro University International proposes to educate an international population to meet the emerging needs of the global community. TUI differentiates itself from other universities and colleges currently offering courses and programs through the Internet by its commitment to quality and excellence, as well as the use of "state-of-the-art" technology.

Touro University International offers over ten online programs of study through its four colleges: the College of Business Administration, the College of Health Sciences, the College of Education, and the College of Information Systems. TUI awards bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees.

Students at Touro University International are able to complete all degree requirements from anywhere at their own pace. TUI offers the best possible learning experience by using both synchronous learning (via Internet videoconferencing) as well as asynchronous learning (via CD-ROM). Internet teleconferencing enables TUI to create a completely interactive learning environment with a real-time, instructor controlled environment.

Touro University International also offers three military masters degree programs online. These degree programs include: MBA Military and Staff Colleges, Master of Science in Health Sciences - Military and Staff Colleges, and Master of Art in Education - Air Force Command and Staff Colleges.

Touro University International offers the following student services: a "Cyber library", online student support services, and online technology services. In addition, TUI also offers an online form for individuals to request, at no obligation, more information about their innovative online degree programs. Touro University International has a Program Participation Agreement with the US Department of Education for eligible students to receive Pell Grants and other federal aid (e.g., Direct Loans). Additional aid options open to qualifying students of TUI include grants, loans, military tuition assistance, scholarships, state aid, Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits, and work/study programs.

Touro University International is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
