Founded in 1834 as the Medical College of Louisiana, Tulane University is a university of over 13,000 students located in New Orleans, Louisiana. Tulane University consists of 11 schools and colleges that offer undergraduate, graduate and professional degrees. U.S. News and World Report ranked Tulane University among the top 50 national universities in the United States. They also gave high rankings to Tulane's A.B. Freeman School of Business, School of Law, and undergraduate biomedical/biomedical engineering programs.
