Utah College of Massage Therapy Description

The Utah College of Massage Therapy (UCMT) is a multi-campus school of massage therapy with seven massage schools located in Utah, Nevada, Arizona, and Colorado. The massage therapy courses at UCMT are designed to provide students with the best possible education that they can receive from a massage therapy school.

The professional massage therapy program at the Utah College of Massage Therapy prepares students to become successful practicing massage therapists. The UCMT program exceeds standards set by national certification, and by most state and municipal governments for licensing. In the UCMT program, students learn light energy work as well as structural bodywork modalities, Eastern as well as Western theory and technique, and how to treat specific pain and dysfunction as well as a holistic approach to health and healing. The program can be completed full-time in as little as seven months, and part time in as little as 12 months.

The Utah College of Massage Therapy provides lifetime career services assistance. In the 2004, UCMT placed 97% of their eligible graduates. The Utah College of Massage Therapy has a Program Participation Agreement with the US Department of Education for eligible students to receive Pell Grants and other federal aid (e.g., Direct Loans). Additional aid options open to qualifying students of UCMT include grants, loans, scholarships, vocational rehabilitation benefits, Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits, and work/study programs.

The Utah College of Massage Therapy is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET).
