Vet Tech Institute Description

The Vet Tech Institute is a school of over 300 students located in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Vet Tech Institute is a division of the Median School of Allied Health Careers.

The Vet Tech Institute offers an Associate in Specialized Technology veterinary technician degree program that can be completed in as little as 16 months. The program includes an externship during a student's last semester to provide them with valuable real-world experience. A Vet Tech degree prepares individuals to work in animal hospitals, private veterinary offices, research facilities, and animal shelters.

The Vet Tech Institute offers housing services and job placement assistance after graduation to help students find jobs. In addition, Vet Tech also offers an online form for individuals to request, at no obligation, more information about their veterinary technician programs. The Vet Tech Institute, through the Median School of Allied Health Careers, has a Program Participation Agreement with the US Department of Education for eligible students to receive Pell Grants and other federal aid (e.g., Direct Loans). The Median School of Allied Health Careers is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology. Vet Tech's program is also fully accredited by the AVMA as a program for educating veterinary technicians.
