Western Career College

Western Career College Description

Founded in 1967, Western Career College is a multi-campus school with eight campuses in Northern California. The mission of Western Career College is to provide education in the majors and disciplines of health, legal, and technical fields of study, that lead to an Associate in Science Degree and/or a Certificate of Achievement.

Western Career College offers 17 programs of study that lead to certificates or associate degrees in the following high-demand fields: medical, dental, pharmacy, veterinary, criminal justice, and graphic design. Western Career College programs take a skills-based approach to education, resulting in graduates who are highly qualified and motivated. All programs require an externship, clinical rotation and/or fieldwork experience, giving students valuable real world experience. Prospective employers place a premium on individuals with real-world experience.

Western Career College provides employment assistance services to all graduates. In addition, Western Career also offers an online form for individuals to request, at no obligation, more information about their innovative programs. Western Career College has a Program Participation Agreement with the US Department of Education for eligible students to receive Pell Grants and other federal aid (e.g., Direct Loans). Additional aid options open to qualifying students of Western Career include grants, loans, scholarships, state aid, Veterans Affairs Benefits, and work/study programs.

Western Career College is regionally accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
