Western Culinary Institute Description

The Western Culinary Institute is a Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts School of over 1,200 students located in Portland, Oregon. The Western Culinary Institute is part of Career Education Corporation, which operates more than 80 campuses in the U.S., Canada, France, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates.

The Western Culinary Institute offers instruction in the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts, Le Cordon Bleu Pātisserie and Baking, and Le Cordon Bleu Hospitality and Restaurant Management. All programs grant an Associate of Occupational Studies degree. There is also a Le Cordon Bleu Pātisserie and Baking certificate program. Students also receive a prestigious Le Cordon Bleu diplōme. All students work in the Institute's state-of-the-art facilities that include kitchen labs, computer labs, a wine studies lab, a lecture classroom, and a student lounge area. Students also get valuable real-world experience at one of the Institute's two restaurants.

The Western Culinary Institute maintains a comprehensive and experienced Career Services Department that is dedicated to working with students throughout their academic training and provides ongoing job placement assistance after graduation. In addition, Western Culinary also offers an online form for individuals to request, at no obligation, more information about their innovative culinary arts programs.
