Founded in 1978, Western International University (WIU) is a multi-campus institution with four campuses in Arizona that serve thousands of students. Western International University is owned by the Apollo Group, Inc., a leading provider of higher education programs for working adults. The mission of Western International University is to provide a broad educational foundation, including a focus on business and technology, designed to prepare students for leadership positions in a dynamic, global marketplace.
Western International University offers associate, bachelor and master degree programs that start monthly. In total, WIU offers 18 undergraduate and graduate degree programs in high-demand fields. WIU also offers a Post-Bachelor Accountancy Certificate program to help to prepare students to sit for state board exams.
Western International University programs are designed for working adults and allow individuals to obtain an education without putting their life on hold. On campus courses are offered evenings and weekends. WIU Interactive Online allows students the flexibility of combining both live learning with convenient recorded sessions. With this combined mode of delivery, students feel connected to their instructor and fellow students, yet still have the convenience of time and place that they would expect in an online education. The course scheduling flexibility makes it easy for individuals with substantial work and life obligations to obtain the education they need to start a new career of further an existing career.
