Western School of Health and Business Description

Founded in 1980, Western International University is a multi-campus institution with two campuses in Pittsburgh, and Monroeville, Pennsylvania that serve over a thousand students. The Western School of Health and Business is specifically concerned with the graduation of thoroughly qualified and professionally acceptable individuals, capable of pursuing lifetime careers in their chosen field.

The Western School of Health and Business offers diploma and specialized associate degrees in a variety of business and health care career fields. All of Western’s programs emphasize hands-on training, are relevant to employers’ needs, and focus on areas that offer strong employment opportunities. In total, Western offers over ten programs of study in high-demand fields. Most programs provide an externship or clinical component allowing students to obtain valuable, real-world experience. Associate degree programs can be completed in as little as 15 months.

The Western School of Health and Business offers career placement assistance for graduates and alumni. In addition, the Western School also offers an online form for individuals to request, at no obligation, more information about their innovative programs. The Western School of Health and Business has a Program Participation Agreement with the US Department of Education for eligible students to receive Pell Grants and other federal aid (e.g., Direct Loans). The Western School of Health and Business is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools and the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology. In addition, the Pittsburgh campus also holds accreditation from the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.
